What can coaching help with?
Life doesn't always get easier just because you know what you should do. Sometimes you need a little help figuring out what's getting in the way, and gaining practical tools for moving forward.

You don't have to figure everything out on your own. Supporting Sunflowers provides neurodiversity-affirming coaching for adults, students, parents, and families who want practical support navigating everyday challenges, big transitions, and everything in between.
Coaching that works with your brain—not against it.

Russell Clinton, coach and founder of Supporting sunflowers, brings together lived experience, education, cross-cultural service, and a long-standing commitment to helping people recognize their strengths and move toward lives that feel more meaningful and manageable. His work has spanned teaching, small-business ownership, team leadership, music education, language learning, and community support across different cultures and life circumstances. He is currently pursuing credentialing as a Neurodiversity Family Coach at CReW Coaching Institute; as well as ACC with the ICF.
Russell also brings lived experience of ADHD, autism, and late diagnosis. At Supporting Sunflowers, Russell’s approach is grounded in active listening, curiosity, collaboration, and respect for each person’s agency. He sees clients as whole people, not as problems to fix or people who must conform to someone else’s expectations.
His guiding belief is simple: every person has the capacity to find satisfaction and fulfillment, we may just need a little extra support to get there at times. Often, that support begins with an empathetic ear.
How we support you
Life doesn't always get easier just because you know what you should do. Sometimes you need a little help figuring out what's getting in the way, and gaining practical tools for moving forward.
Knowing your options doesn't always make it easier to choose what to do next. Coaching can help you identify what's keeping you stuck, work through the barriers, and develop tools for making decisions and taking action.
Everyday challenges can become frustrating when you know what needs to be done but can't seem to get started or follow through. Coaching can help you develop practical strategies for organization, routines, time awareness, task initiation, memory, and follow-through.
Big life changes can bring a lot of smaller decisions with them. Starting school, moving, changing careers, navigating relationships, or adjusting to changes in independence can feel overwhelming. Coaching can help you sort through the moving pieces, break big transitions into manageable steps, and build tools for moving forward.

Sometimes the strategies you've been taught simply don't work for the way your brain works. Coaching starts by understanding what's happening, what's getting in your way, and what already works for you. From there, we can build practical strategies, accommodations, and tools that fit your life.

Every neurodivergent person is different. Coaching can focus on whatever would be most useful to you right now—from communication and relationships to overwhelm, self-understanding, and navigating change.

Families, educators, organizations, and community groups can all play an important role in supporting neurodivergent people. Coaching can help the people around them better understand their needs and create environments that are more accessible, accommodating, and affirming.
